Hotel recommendations for Panama:

Budget ($38-42/night):
Basic guesthouses near the main strip. Look for places with good reviews on Booking.com.

Mid-Range ($67-80/night):
International chains like Ibis or Holiday Inn. These usually have no issues with visitors.

Premium ($101+/night):
International brands like Marriott or Hilton.

Guest-Friendly Policy:
Always book through online platforms for proof of reservation.

Location tip: Stay near the tourist area.

Different experience for me. Prices were about the same when I went.

First time was a learning experience. Second time was 10x smoother. Experience makes all the difference.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

I was there in March and prices were great value. Spent about $100/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.

Word of caution — watch out for taxi scams at the airport. Other than that, great destination.

I was there in February and prices were great value. Spent about $150/day all-in.

My tip: try the local spots away from tourists.
