Visited Border Towns for 5 days. Great experience. Scene is active. Pricing excellent value.
Spent $135/day. Best part: ease of arranging.
Overall: 8/10. Would return.

Adding my experience from February.
The scene has stayed the same since pre-COVID. Biggest change: better quality overall.

Not sure I agree about that area. I found downtown to be better value.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.

How does it compare to Thailand?

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were higher when I went. Maybe timing matters.

I was there in March and prices were great value.
Spent about $90/day all-in. Quality was excellent.
My tip: go early evening for best selection.
