Puerto Plata trip report — what I found

Returned from 7 days in Dominican Republic. Mixed feelings but mostly positive.

Accommodation:
Serviced apartment near the main area. $68/night. Good location, basic amenities.

Scene:
About what the forum described. Prices were great value.

Quality:
Generally good looking with good service. Had 9 encounters total.

Logistics:
Transport was easy — Uber/Grab works well. Eating out was very affordable.

Safety:
Used common sense and had no problems.

Overall: 7.5/10. Solid choice, will be back.

Adding my experience: scene has improved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: prices up 15-20%.
