Is Mexico City/Puebla still worth visiting in 2026?

Has anyone been to Central Mexico recently? Looking for the latest intel.

Specifically interested in:
- Current price ranges
- Best areas right now
- Any safety concerns to be aware of
- Apps or platforms to use

I was there last year and had a decent time. Wondering if things have changed.

Trying to decide between this and Thailand.

Cheers

Great report, thanks for sharing. Had a similar experience there last month.

Adding my experience: scene has bounced back since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.

Spot on with the prices. Matches what I paid recently.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Adding my experience: scene has stayed the same since pre-COVID. Biggest change: prices up 15-20%.

Also recommend downloading Google Translate before you go. Essential.

Good info. Going during the week is much better — less crowded and better prices.

Been there 10 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The value for money is what keeps me coming back.

Been going for years. Scene has gotten busier.

I was there in last month and prices were about average. Spent about $50/day all-in.

My tip: avoid weekends.
