Planning my first trip to Lebanon. Read through the older threads but wanted to check if info is still current.

My main questions:
1. Best area to stay for easy access to the scene?
2. Realistic daily budget including accommodation?
3. Any areas to avoid?
4. How is the quality compared to the Philippines?
5. Any apps to use before arriving?

Coming from Canada with experience in Southeast Asia but first time in Lebanon.

Any recent reports or recommendations appreciated. Thanks!

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

First time was good but could have been better. Second time was 10x smoother. Experience makes all the difference.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Been there 10 times now. Still one of my top destinations. The quality is what keeps me coming back.

I was there in February and prices were great value. Spent about $50/day all-in.

My tip: go early evening.

Been going for years. Scene has shifted a bit but still good.

Adding my experience: scene has bounced back since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more online activity.
