Returned from 5 days in East Coast.

Accommodation:
Guest house near the action. $62/night.

Scene:
Better than expected. Excellent value.

Highlights:
Hidden gem bar found.

Overall: 9/10 - One of my favourites.

Happy to answer questions.

I was there in January and prices were exactly as described.

Spent about $108/day all-in. Quality was above average.

My tip: the late night crowd is different.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Adding my experience from February.

The scene has improved since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more competition.

How does it compare to Thailand?

Not sure I agree about that area. I found downtown to be better value.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since last year. Current prices are actually lower than what's described here.
