Quick question for the Indonesia regulars — has anything changed in the last few months?
I was there 6 months ago and had a great time but I've heard new venues have opened.
Worth going back or should I try somewhere new?
Cheers

How does it compare to Thailand?

Agreed on all points. Make sure to bring small bills.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.

Interesting take but I think you overpaid. Try using a different site next time.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since the new laws came in. Current prices are actually lower than what's described here.

I'd also recommend downloading Grab before you go. Essential.

I was there in February and prices were great value.
Spent about $55/day all-in. Quality was good.
My tip: avoid weekends.
