Been thinking about visiting Cambodia and wanted to get the latest intel from those who've been recently.

Specifically interested in:
1. Current price ranges
2. Best areas to base yourself
3. Any safety concerns
4. How's the quality compared to Thailand?

Any recent trip reports would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

Great report, thanks for sharing. I had a similar experience there last month.

+1 on this. Exactly my experience too. Great destination.

I was there in January and prices were exactly as described.

Spent about $109/day all-in. Quality was excellent.

My tip: avoid weekends.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since the pandemic. Current prices are higher than what's described here.

I was there in March and prices were exactly as described.

Spent about $51/day all-in. Quality was above average.

My tip: go early evening for best selection.

How long did it take to feel comfortable and find the good spots?

Not sure I agree about that area. I found a different part to be better value.

Good info. I'd add that going during the week is much better — less crowded, better prices.

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were lower when I went. Maybe timing matters.
