Back from Philippines. Spent 4 days, here's the breakdown:

Accommodation: Mid-range hotel near the action. $36/night.

Scene: Not as busy as I hoped but still good.

Prices: Fair for the quality.

Highlights: Found a hidden gem bar away from tourists.

Overall: 8.5/10 — exceeded expectations.

Ask me anything.

Excellent write-up. This is why this forum is the best resource out there.

How does it compare to Colombia?

Spot on with the prices. That matches what I paid in February.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Adding my experience from last month.

The scene has stayed the same since pre-COVID. Biggest change: more competition.

Interesting take but I think you overpaid. Try negotiating next time.

Not sure I agree about that area. I found a different part to be better value.
