I visited Portugal recently for 12 days and had a solid experience.

The scene is As described in recent reports. Prices up 10-15% from last year.

Spent about $64/day on the hobby side. Best part was the friendliness.

Overall: 7.5/10. One of my favourites.

Happy to answer questions.

Spot on with the prices. That matches what I paid in February.

With respect, my experience was more mixed. But maybe I went at the wrong time.

Not sure I agree about that area. I found the outskirts to be better value.

Hmm, I had a different experience. Prices were lower when I went. Maybe timing matters.

Agreed on all points. Make sure to book hotels in advance.

I was there in January and prices were great value.

Spent about $103/day all-in. Quality was good.

My tip: midweek is golden hour.

This is outdated info IMO. Things have changed since last year. Current prices are about the same than what's described here.

What was your total spend roughly? Trying to budget for mine.

Can confirm. Was there 2 weeks ago and everything checks out.

I was there in February and prices were great value.

Spent about $105/day all-in. Quality was excellent.

My tip: the late night crowd is different.
